Abstract

Insurance institutions are considered a fundamental pillar in financial management and economic reassurance, with the Libyan state actively promoting this sector to protect both the economy and individuals. Health insurance stands out as a vital system designed to cover health-related risks and alleviate financial and psychological burdens from individuals.

Given that the employee is the core of any administrative organization, ensuring their well-being and security directly reflects on job satisfaction and performance improvement. From this standpoint, this study sheds light on the role of health insurance in achieving employee satisfaction through a field study conducted at the Zawiya Oil Refining Company. The study aims to measure the effectiveness of insurance services, assess employees' psychological status, evaluate performance levels, and identify key challenges, strengths, and weaknesses in the current health insurance system to provide actionable recommendations for enhancing the work environment.
